The Independent Railway Supervisors Association (I.R.S.A.) was formed August 14, 1992.   

The purpose of the Independent Railway Supervisors Association is:  

• To combine the interest of its members in order to gain representation consistent with that of other railroad and airway employees. 
• To comply with the Railway Labor Act as amended and the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959.
• To guard the financial interest and promote the general welfare of its members. 

 

As a supervisor's union, we are committed to advocating for the rights and well-being of supervisors in all industries. Our mission is to ensure fair and equitable treatment, promote professional development, and create a supportive and inclusive work environment for all supervisors. 

 

We strive to foster strong relationships between supervisors and management, promoting open communication and collaboration. We believe that supervisors play a vital role in the success of any organization, and it is our goal to provide them with the resources and support they need to excel in their roles. 

 

Through collective bargaining, education, and advocacy, we aim to address the unique challenges and concerns faced by supervisors. We are dedicated to promoting fair compensation, work-life balance, and opportunities for career growth and advancement.
